Skincare Routine for the Morning
The best morning skincare routine involves the use of the following:
- Cleanser
- Toner
- Antioxidant serum
- Eye cream
- Moisturizer
- Sunscreen
- Primer (if you are applying makeup)
Let’s take a closer look at how to carry out this routine step by step every day.
1) Start with a cleanser
Use a cleanser daily morning to carry out a deep clean of your skin. Choose a cleanser with a low pH. Use some water with the cleanser to make it a foam. Apply and let it rest like a mask on your skin. After 3-5 minutes, wash it off with cold water. Do not rub your face with a towel but tap dry to remove the water.
2) Tone the skin
The toner is a very important product that most people do not use or tend to skip. A good toner performs two functions. It helps to balance the pH of your skin. It also keeps your skin hydrated by locking in moisture. This prevents the skin from drying up. Go for a toner that has a moisturizer in it. Apply a few drops of the toner and use your fingers to spread it across your face.
3) Use an antioxidant serum
If you want your skin to look young, then use the best antioxidant serum. A good serum provides your skin with the antioxidants it needs to fight free radicals. This allows your skin to be fresh and look young. Choose the serum depending on your skin type.
4) Don’t forget the eyes
After you take care of your face, you must not forget the eyes. Use a good eye cream to make your eyes look good and to keep them hydrated. Eye cream allows any make up you use last longer.
5) Moisturize the skin
If you haven’t used a moisturizer with the toner, then now is the time to do it. Use a good moisturizer that hydrates your skin. Look for a moisturizer with ingredients like hyaluronic acid that helps keep your skin smooth.
6) Protect the skin from the sun
Using a sunscreen is a must to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Avoid using a moisturizer with SPF. Instead, use a separate sunscreen cream. Look for an SPF factor of 30 or more. Reapply the sunscreen every 3 to 4 hours for the best effect if you are going to be exposed to the sun.
7) Prime the skin
A primer is an option you need to consider if you are using makeup. The primer provides the final protective barrier for your skin. It primes your skin so you can apply foundation on it to make you look good.
