The Benefits of Dermaplaning and How to Do It

What is Dermaplaning?

Want to restore that youthful glow and get rid of pesky peach fuzz? Are you looking for a treatment that easily fits into your schedule? If so, then dermaplaning is the solution you’re looking for!

Dermaplaning is a convenient and effective cosmetic procedure. A medical grade scalpel applies exfoliation action to remove the topmost layer of your skin. Fine hairs and dead skin cells are skimmed off, encouraging new skin growth. This procedure is effective on the cheeks, upper lip, forehead, and chin. Without using any chemicals or surgical procedures, dermaplaning results in skin that looks soft and supple.

Benefits of Dermaplaning

From cleaner pores to instant exfoliation, dermaplaning offers numerous benefits for your skin.

1.Minimizes Wrinkle and fine lines

The exfoliation process helps slough off facial hair and dead skin cells. It encourages new cells to the surface. This helps reduce the signs of aging.

2. Helps create smaller pores

Dermaplaning offers deep cleaning for the face. It pulls out excess oil, dirt, and dead cells from your pores. This not only cleans out your pores but reduces their size as well, resulting in youthful-looking skin.

3. Improves make-up application.

With a clean, peach fuzz-free face, applying cosmetics is a breeze. It’s easier to apply make-up to skin that is clear and fresh. In fact, the make-up application takes less time and lasts longer on new skin. Blotchy and uneven skin requires more foundation and powder.

4. Rejuvenates skin.

The exfoliation action involved in dermaplaning helps with new skin development. It results in skin with an even tone. The procedure helps get rid of hyperpigmentation, leading to skin that’s brighter and fresher.

How to Dermaplane?

Dermaplaning is an easy and convenient cosmetic procedure to do at home.

Follow these steps to get the best results.

Step 1

Wash your face with a cleanser. Gently pat dry your skin. Ensure it is free from oils, creams, and serums.

Step 2

Take the dermaplaning tool and remove the cap. Use one hand to keep your skin taut. With the free hand, place the tool over the area where you want to start. Avoid the nose, eyebrows, and eyelids.

While holding the tool at a 45-degree angle, glide it along the cheeks, upper lip, etc. Use gentle, short strokes. Move carefully around the eyebrows and hairline. When dermaplaning near the lips and chin, tuck your lips in. Do not apply pressure.

Step 4

With a damp face cloth, gently wipe your face.

Step 5

Using the same face cloth, give the dermaplane blade a swipe. You may disinfect it with rubbing alcohol as well. Put the cap back on.

Step 6

Apply a moisturizer or skin serum on your face.

Dermaplaning helps you get youthful and rejuvenated skin in just a few minutes.
