Tinted Moisturiser vs. CC Cream, have you ever wondered what is the difference between these two? Makeup used to be a simple thing only a decade ago. But now, you can call it the Instagram effect, makeup has totally revolutionized. We now have a wide range of complexion products, leaving us with so many options that one could get confused at one point about what product to spend on.
Tinted Moisturiser vs. CC Cream
It may become very difficult to decide whether to go for tints, creams, sticks, liquid foundations, or tinted moisturizers. But there is always a silver lining to every aspect of the story; having all these options can eventually get us to something that works perfectly for our skin type and complexion and gives the exact coverage.
What if you would like a light coverage product? Then a CC cream or a tinted moisturizer could work well for you. But what works best, let’s discuss here so you can decide.
Tinted Moisturizers:
Tinted moisturizers mean exactly what they sound like, a moisturizer with a hint of colour. Tinted moisturizers work best for those who require minimal coverage and do not want to spend hours layering their skin. The main benefit that tinted moisturizers provide is the hydrating effect.
How to Use a Tinted Moisturizer:
You can simply apply the tinted moisturizer with your fingertips the same way as you apply your regular moisturizer. You can also use a brush if you want a more precise application. People who have a dry skin type can apply the tinted moisturizer over the regular moisturizer.
CC Creams:
CC creams provide additional benefits of sun protection and skin hydration effects. Moreover, they have slightly better coverage than tinted moisturizers. CC creams work best for very fair complexions as CC creams provide optimal coverage without making it look unnatural. In comparison, foundations can impart a yellow, gray, or pink effect on very fair-skinned individuals. Moreover, CC creams are also termed color-correcting creams because they reduce the appearance of redness and discoloration on the skin.
How to Use a CC Cream:
The best way to use a CC cream is to dot the product on the five key areas of the face (namely the forehead, each cheek, nose, and chin) and then spread it all over the face evenly with your fingertips, a makeup brush or a sponge, depending on what type of coverage you like. Remember, never to skip your sunscreen. Even though CC creams provide a sun protection effect but you certainly cannot expose your skin to the damaging sun rays and you will need the extra protection.
A Word of Apprehension
You should go for a tinted moisturizer if you require a minimum coverage and a more hydrating effect or if you have a porcelain complexion. CC creams can work best if you require added benefits of sun protection and color coverage.
